The goal of the Vet Center program is to provide a broad range of counseling, outreach, and referral services to eligible Veterans to help them make a satisfying post-war readjustment to civilian life. Family members (from selected combat operations) are eligible for Vet Center services as well. Vet Centers also provide bereavement counseling services to surviving parents, spouses, children, and siblings of service members who die of any cause while on active duty, including federally activated Reserve and National Guard personnel.AfterDeployment This congressionally mandated website is specifically geared toward returning Veterans. It features articles on a variety of Veteran-related topics, from adjustment issues to mental health conditions.
